The 3rd Plenary Session of the Inter-ministerial Meeting on International Agricultural Cooperation was held in Beijing on May 10, 2016.
All the members introduced their work progress and plans for this year. Minister Han Changfu stressed that during the 13th Five-year Plan period, the international agricultural cooperation is faced with new conditions and tasks. "We should seize the opportunities of the Belt and Road initiative, international capacity cooperation, supply-side structural reform in agriculture, as well as the development of an open economy, "he said.
He also noted that MOA will actively address the challenges of intensified international investment and trade competition, set up a policy system to support international agricultural cooperation and implement the cooperation plan in an orderly manner.
